What does the Catalytic Cleaner do?
It cleans and restores the catalytic converter so it can turn nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons into less hazardous carbon dioxide, water vapour and nitrogen gas.
Does it clean oxygen sensors too?
Yes. Cleaner oxygen sensors measure emission Lambda more accurately, which improves fuel efficiency.
How is it used?
With the engine at optimum temperature, remove the oxygen sensor and inject 70 ml towards the catalytic converter. Replace the sensor, wait 15 minutes and idle for 10 minutes. Repeat with the rest, then rev at 2,000 to 2,500 rpm until smoke stops coming from the exhaust.
Is smoke from the exhaust normal?
Yes, as part of the process. The final step is to rev the engine at 2,000 to 2,500 rpm until smoke stops emitting from the exhaust.
Will it help my emission inspection?
It reduces CO, NOx and HC emissions and improves the % of the yearly emission inspection.
How do I clean the oxygen sensors?
